Owings S
This is my interpretation of the classic double-cutaway strat-style guitar. The shape is familar and almost as old as rock-and-roll but the neck-through, clamshell design is my own. Strings sit low and so the bridge is recessed into the body to compensate, A toggle switch is used to select the pickup and knobs are provided for volume and tone. The jack sits on the face and plugs straight in, so you might want to use the L shaped cable.
The first version I've built is a 5 string 3/4 inch scale. Below is a photo comparing it to a full-size 6 string (the Owings M). If you think small 5 strings are a crazy idea, see my page Why a small guitar?
